Refund & Cancellation Policy
Oh My Lore! (“we”, “us”, “our”) offers paid subscription plans (Rare, Legendary). How you buy, cancel and obtain a refund depends on where you subscribed:
- Web (ohmylore.app) — Polar: Polar (polar.sh) is our Merchant of Record and seller of record. Polar issues your invoice, collects and remits any applicable VAT, and processes billing and refunds. Polar’s own buyer terms also apply to the payment process.
- iOS app — Apple: Apple is the seller of record. Your purchase is charged to your Apple ID, and cancellations, refunds and the EU 14-day withdrawal for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Neither we nor Polar can issue refunds for App Store purchases.
1. Cancelling a Subscription
How you cancel depends on where you subscribed:
- Web (Polar): cancel anytime from Account → Billing, or via the Polar customer portal linked there.
- iOS app (Apple): cancel via your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
In both cases, cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period (“access runs to period end”). Where you validly consented to immediate performance (see §3), we do not pro-rate or refund the unused portion of a period, except where required by law.
2. AI Credit Packs (One-Time Purchases)
AI-credit top-ups are not currently available for purchase. When AI-credit top-ups are offered, they will be non-transferable prepaid usage units, consumable only inside Oh My Lore!, with no cash value and no withdrawable balance. Because credits unlock immediate digital functionality:
- When AI-credit top-ups are offered, once any credit from a pack has been used, that pack will be non-refundable.
- When AI-credit top-ups are offered, an unused, fully-intact pack may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, subject to your statutory rights in §3.
3. EU/EEA Consumers — 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts (Directive 2011/83/EU; Czech Civil Code §1829).
Web purchases (Polar). Before checkout, we show you an unticked consent box that you must tick to proceed, confirming: “I request immediate access to Oh My Lore and acknowledge that I thereby lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed; for ongoing subscriptions I acknowledge my withdrawal right is limited as described in the Refund Policy.” We keep a dated record of your consent (including the exact acknowledgment text and document version), we send you an email confirming this consent on a durable medium after your purchase, and a copy of the record is available to you at any time on request at support@ohmylore.app. If that express consent was not captured, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies in full — you may withdraw within 14 days using our withdrawal form or by emailing support@ohmylore.app with the subject “Withdrawal”.
iOS app purchases (Apple). Refunds and the EU 14-day withdrawal for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. How Refunds Are Issued
Web (Polar). Approved refunds are processed by Polar (our Merchant of Record) to your original payment method, normally within 14 days. Because Polar is the Merchant of Record, your statement may show “Polar* OHMYLORE” rather than our name. You may also contact Polar’s buyer support directly for billing or refund questions via the link on your Polar receipt.
iOS app (Apple). App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, at Apple’s discretion, via https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Neither we nor Polar can issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.
5. Errors, Double Charges & Goodwill
If you were charged in error, charged twice, or the Service was materially unavailable, contact support@ohmylore.app within 30 days. For web (Polar) purchases we will make it right — including a full refund where appropriate — beyond your statutory minimums. For App Store purchases, refunds are at Apple’s discretion — contact us and we will help you file a request with Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Failed Renewals & Involuntary Churn
For web (Polar) subscriptions, if a renewal payment fails, Polar may retry per its dunning schedule. For iOS (Apple) subscriptions, Apple manages retries and billing. If payment ultimately fails, your plan reverts to the free Common tier; your data is retained per our Privacy Policy.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback — we can usually resolve billing issues faster directly. Abusive or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.
8. Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution (ADR)
If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you have the right to out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes through the Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection Authority — ČOI), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic — https://adr.coi.cz (out-of-court consumer dispute resolution).
9. Contact
support@ohmylore.app — Tomáš Holocsy, sole trader (OSVČ) registered in the Czech Republic, IČO 07942699, DIČ CZ9110126344 (VAT-identified person — not a VAT payer), place of business Jabloňová 1723/71, Záběhlice, 106 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic; registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register (živnostenský rejstřík). We reply within 5 working days (2 working days for withdrawal notices). For payment-specific questions, Polar (our web Merchant of Record) can also assist via your receipt; for App Store purchases, contact Apple.
